- Years 2003-2013 If you want to replace the battery inside the engine compartment of your second series Audi A3 yourself, all you have to do is carefully read the various instructions in our new mini guide dedicated to you. First turn off the car completely and park it safely. Then lift the front hood and proceed with the disassembly of both poles. Unscrew the safety screws and remove the battery completely. At this point all that remains is to insert the new battery correctly, reconnect the two poles and screw back the safety screws present.
