Removing the air vents from an Audi A6 MK4 (also known as C7) is not as simple as it seems, because, built with true German precision, it can be difficult to disassemble. First, before removing the four clips that hold the vent in place - which should be removed carefully but with some firmness, as they are quite rigid - you need to take off the aluminum trim. This should be done with utmost care and a plastic spatula to avoid scratching and permanently damaging it. Then, underneath, you will find a second plastic frame that acts as a safety hinge. Only after that can you carefully remove the four clips.
