Removing the Rocker Panel Trim

Model: Audi Tt 8N, MK 1 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Body

To remove the rocker panel trim, lift the vehicle on appropriate automotive jack stands or, better yet, on a lift, and remove the wheels. Then, locate the fastening screws along the lower edge of the rocker panel and clean the heads from dirt to allow for proper insertion of the appropriate wrench. Next, unscrew the screws along the lower edge and those inside the fender wells. Open the door and remove the threshold trim to access the other fastening screws of the rocker panel. Once these are removed, you can take off the rocker panel.
