Removing the rear shock absorber is extremely easy since it is done entirely from the wheel well, and you do not need to access the trunk or remove any trim; therefore, position the vehicle on appropriate jack stands, remove the rear wheel, and place a jack under the suspension to remove and extract the lower mounting bolt of the shock absorber. Then proceed to remove the two bolts that secure the upper support plate to the body and take it out complete with the support and dust boot.
