In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the cigarette lighter socket in an Audi A3, a very simple and quick operation. First, ensure that the key is not inserted for safety, then, preferably using a plastic spatula, unclip the cover located below the handbrake lever.

Next, release the retaining clip of the housing by accessing it through the newly freed gap, disconnect the power connector, and separate the socket from the base. To fit a replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
