How to Open the Trunk of the Audi TT

You can only open the trunk of the Audi TT when the vehicle is unlocked. On these models, it is impossible to open the hood, trunk, or fuel filler door without first unlocking the central locking system.

To open the trunk, unlock the vehicle and then press the button located above the license plate. To close the trunk, simply let it drop shut.

If the trunk does not open, recline the rear seats and use a screwdriver to move the internal lock lever to unlock it. This emergency procedure will allow you to access the rear compartment, but you will need to replace the lock afterward.
