To change the gearbox oil of a BMW R1200C, start by lifting the bike with a stable stand to ensure it is well supported. Place a container under the bottom of the gearbox to collect the used oil. Locate the oil drain plug, which is usually located at the bottom of the gearbox, and unscrew it with a suitable wrench. Allow the used oil to completely drain into the container. After all the oil has been drained, replace the drain plug and make sure it is securely tightened to prevent leaks. Next, find the oil fill plug, usually located at the top of the gearbox. Carefully remove it. Using a funnel, fill the gearbox with the new oil, following the recommended specifications in the user manual. After filling the gearbox with the correct amount of oil, replace the fill plug and make sure it is securely screwed in. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, then check for any leaks and make sure the oil level is correct. If necessary, add more oil. Finally, lower the bike and check under the gearbox to confirm there are no leaks.
