How to change the engine oil on a BMW R1250GS

To change the engine oil on your BMW R1250GS, first ensure that the engine is at room temperature. Next, position the bike on a flat and stable surface.

Remove the oil filler cap on the right side of the engine and place a container under the oil drain plug. Remove the drain plug and let the old oil drain completely.

Check and replace any damaged seals. Reinstall the drain plug securely.

Fill the engine with the recommended engine oil to the correct level. Close the oil filler cap and start the engine to allow the oil to circulate.

Turn off the engine and check the oil level using the dipstick.
