Replacing the Front Brake Pads on BMW R1200 GS

Model: Bmw R1200gs
Part: Brake pads

Video tutorial

First, use fine pliers to remove the pin from the brake pad pin, as shown in the video. Once the pin is removed, the metal clip will also come out, then you can extract the two worn pads and move on to the brake caliper.

To remove this, you will need to unscrew the two fastening bolts, which are 13 mm. Remove the caliper and clean the pad seats with a suitable brush. Push back the pistons to widen the space in the seats, as the new pads will obviously be much thicker than the old ones.

Insert the new pads and reverse the process for reassembly.

To replace the clutch lever on the Sherco SEF 300, you need to loosen the screws that secure the lever to its housing on the left side of the handlebars. Once these screws are loosened, you can unscrew the nut at the base of the lever to disconnect the clutch cable attached to the corresponding lever. Once the cable is detached, the lever can be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part; after installation, ensure that it functions correctly.
