Before you can remove the rear brake pads of the BMW R1200 GS, you must unscrew the bolts securing the rear wheel. Once the wheel is removed, you can access the brake caliper, which needs to be detached from the brake disc by removing the appropriate pins. After these have been removed, slide the pads out from inside the caliper and replace them with new ones. After replacement, reattach the caliper to the disc with the appropriate pins and secure the rear wheel with its bolts.
