In today’s video, you will see how to perform routine maintenance by changing the engine oil and oil filter on a BMW F800 GS motorcycle. First, position the bike on the centre stand and start by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine; allow it to drain into a container for about ten minutes, while cleaning the magnet on the plug of any metallic debris. At this point, use the appropriate tool to unscrew the oil filter; now replace it with the new one, screwing it in by hand: all that’s left is to pour in the new engine oil!
