To replace the front brake pads on the BMW R 1200 GS, loosen the bolts securing the caliper to the disc. This will allow the caliper to be removed from its housing on the disc, and the old pads can be extracted. Once the old pads have been removed, insert the new ones and reposition the caliper on the disc. At this point, the caliper must be secured back to the disc by inserting the appropriate pins, ensuring everything functions correctly.
