To replace the battery on the BMW R 1200 GS, loosen the Torx screws (T25) securing the triangular cover on the left side of the bike. Once the cover is removed, access the underlying components by unscrewing the mounting bolts and disconnecting the cables connected to the battery. This will allow you to remove the device from its housing and replace it with a new spare part. After inserting the new battery, close the cover by securing it with the previously removed Torx screws.
