To replace the grips on the BMW R 1200 GS, first, loosen the counterweight located at the end of the grip and detach the corresponding end of the handguard; once these two components are removed, cut off the old grip completely to remove it from its housing on the handlebar. Repeat the same operation on the other side, then install the new grips, securing them with the counterweights and repositioning the handguard.
