To replace the grips on the BMW R 1200 GS, loosen the bolt that secures the handguard so that the outer end can be completely removed from the grip. Once the handguard is detached, you can also remove the corresponding counterweight. Now, the grip can be removed from its housing, allowing you to insert the new one. After replacing the grip, repeat the same process on the other side, ensuring everything functions correctly.
