As shown in this tutorial, replacing the remote battery on the BMW R1250 GS is an extremely simple and cost-effective operation. You will only need a replacement CR2032 battery. First, press the top button and extend the emergency metal key, then lever the cover off using the edge just freed by the key. Once done, extract the old battery, insert the new one in the correct orientation, and reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure.
