Video tutorial

This tutorial demonstrates how to change the engine oil in a BMW R1200 GS, a very simple and quick operation to be performed every 12 months. First, ensure the engine is sufficiently cool.

Then, place a container underneath and remove the lower protection cover. Next, unscrew the drain bolt using a 10 mm hex key, allow the oil to drain from the system, and using pliers, unscrew the old filter.

At this point, insert the new filter, tighten the bolt, and pour in the new oil through the designated hole.
