In this video, learn how to replace the rear brake pads on a BMW GS1200: Start by removing the rear mudguard, and you will need to take off the two upper screws. You will need to disassemble the pads from the caliper, and the caliper is attached to the transmission with two screws, which, once removed, allow the caliper to be taken off easily. To free the pads, you will need to slide out the locking pin, removing the two clips. Once the pads are removed, push the two pistons back and clean the caliper. You can find replacement parts on all major e-commerce platforms, but we prefer not to specify as models vary greatly depending on the year of manufacture. Typically, the price is around £30. Be careful as the rear pads have a specific orientation for installation. Insert the pin and clips, close and secure it to the transmission. Refit the mudguard, and the job is complete.

How to Remove the Rear Wheel on the BMW G650 GS?

In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the rear wheel on the BMW G650 GS, a very simple operation. First, lift the motorcycle from the central area using a stand or a jack, then undo the right nut with a 24 mm socket and the left one with a 19 mm spanner. Once done, using a Torx T40 key, unscrew the two chain tensioner bolts exactly half a turn each, until you loosen the tension. Finally, push the wheel towards the inside of the motorcycle, remove the chain from the sprocket, and extract the inner pin using a hammer.
