Brake Pad Replacement

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010

Remove the wheel and carefully take off the caliper by removing the two pins with two large screwdrivers or the appropriate tools. Remove the worn pads and replace them with two new ones of the same type. Clean the pads and the entire mechanical assembly thoroughly using compressed air and a deoxidizing spray. Reinstall the bracket, cleaning and lubricating the retaining springs, then tighten them. Reinstall the caliper, ensuring the various pins are positioned correctly. The pad with the electrical contacts should be mounted inward, paying attention to the direction of travel. Realign the piston by pushing it inward and check the adhesion of the pads to the rotor. Perform the same operation on the other brake.
