How to reset the service light on the BMW Series 1.
Model: BMW Serie 1
E81, E82, MK 1, E87
- Years 2004-2013
In this article, we will see how to reset the oil change indicator light that indicates service. To reset it, first start the instrument cluster. After starting the cluster, press and hold the TRIP button until the triangle warning light with an exclamation mark appears on the display. When this light appears, release the TRIP button and navigate through the menu using the appropriate arrows. Once you find the oil indicator, press the BC button to confirm. Then, using the arrow buttons again, navigate through the menu until you find the RESET option. Once located, press and hold the BC button to perform the reset. Wait for the reset procedure to complete and then restart the instrument cluster.
