How do you reset the Service light on a BMW X3?

On the instrument panel of the BMW X3, it is possible to reset the Service light by turning on the instrument panel using the appropriate button and then pressing and holding the button located on the left side of the instrument panel. After a moment, the oil icon will appear on the instrument panel along with the kilometers remaining until the next service: once the icon is displayed, you need to keep pressing the button on the instrument panel. A loading screen will appear on the display, after which the light will be reset; at this point, the panel can be turned off.
