The procedure to access the ski compartment in the BMW i7 is designed to be sleek and integrated, but it requires removing several components. Think of the armrest as a box made up of three distinct parts that move in sequence: The rigid top part of the armrest where you actually rest your elbows is gently hooked. You need to press up from the back (the side closest to the trunk) and pull firmly towards you. Under the top cover is a storage compartment or tray, which is the second layer; it simply needs to be lifted. Below that, you will find the floor of the compartment, which is a rubber mat, and this also needs to be lifted. From here, you will see the trunk space, through which you can pass skis or any other long items.
