BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Coolant temperature sensor
Operation: Replacement temperature sensor on BMW 3

How do you disassemble the temperature sensor on a BMW 3 Series? We lift the front hood of the car to find the temperature sensor and disassemble it. We disassemble the soundproofing panel of the engine and identify where the sensor is placed. We disconnect the power supply terminal from above the temperature sensor, unscrew the nut and remove the same. We screw the new sensor and connect the electrical clamp. We mount the engine cover panel once we have finished the disassembly. We test the proper functioning of the temperature sensor once all the pieces are in place.
