If the bodywork of your vehicle has suffered a small impact that has removed the paint layer, this will expose the metal sheet to rust. If you do not plan to take the car to a body shop soon for a permanent repair of the dent, it is advisable to take action to prevent rust from taking hold and causing more serious and costly damage. Start by protecting the surrounding areas of the dent with masking tape and use sandpaper to remove the rust that has formed. Apply a rust converter product to the bare metal and let it act for the necessary time. Next, use a brush to apply a layer of paint, and once dry, apply a layer of clear coat. The metal will thus be protected from rust.
