Auxiliary Belt Positioning Diagram

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: V-belt

The vehicle in question has two auxiliary belts: one positioned at the bottom left (when facing the engine compartment) and in front of the second, which is located right in the center; to remove the latter, you must first remove the crankshaft pulley and then the first auxiliary belt. In any case, before proceeding with the disassembly, it is absolutely essential to take note of the belt routing between the various pulleys, either by sketching it on a piece of paper or taking a photo (in some cases, the diagram is printed on a sticker applied to the grille).
