Removing the Radio Frame with Protective Door

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

In this guide, you will remove the protective door that may cause issues with opening or closing. Once you fully lower the glove compartment, remove the protective cap from the side screw near the door latch. Next, unscrew the internal screws at the bottom and top. It is recommended to remember the position of each screw as they are all different. Now, remove the faux wood trim to expose and unscrew the other screws. Then, proceed to unscrew the frame screws. At this point, simply move the lower part of the dashboard to facilitate the removal of the frame. Car model: BMW E39 M5 540 530
Required tools: Phillips screwdriver, panel clip tool, 7mm socket wrench with extension.
