Disassembly and Replacement of the Cabin Fan in a BMW 5 Series

Here are step-by-step instructions to disassemble and replace the cabin fan in your BMW 5 Series. First, get inside the vehicle and begin removing the entire center console and the cover of the center tunnel. To do this, remove the radio and climate control knobs, disconnecting the electrical connectors found on the back, then remove the plastic cover of the center tunnel by unscrewing all the screws. At this point, you will be able to access and remove the fan by unscrewing the screws and disconnecting its electrical connector. Finally, install the new cabin fan!
