Removing the Center Panel and Radio on BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 F11, F10 - Years 2010-2017

Obtain a plastic wedge and first, remove the long horizontal panel that houses the center air vents. This panel extends to the passenger side air vent: to remove it, pry it from the gap underneath starting from the center area and moving towards the side. Gently pull it out and disconnect the connectors. Now, remove the two T20 Torx screws located above the radio and also disconnect the two connectors. Remove the other two T20 Torx screws that secure the radio unit and pull it out. Reverse the process for reinstallation.
