This guide provides the main instructions on how to remove and replace the air vent located on the side of the dashboard of the BMW 5 Series. First, get inside the cabin and start by removing the cover and the light switch (or turn signal stalk); disconnect the electrical connector at the back, then remove the air vent (levering from the sides), as shown in the video.

At this point, perform the repair or replacement of the air vent, securing it properly to the dashboard; reassemble the turn signal stalk and finally adjust the diffuser to your liking.
