Replacing the Air Vent Grilles on BMW 5 Series F10

To replace the air vent grilles on the dashboard of the BMW 5 Series, gather a plastic trim tool and start by detaching the central trim where the vents are located. Rotate the trim and disconnect the various electrical connectors, then place it on a work surface.

Remove the eight Torx screws that secure the vents to the trim and unclip the clips that attach the grilles to the ducts. Disconnect the two switches and install them on the new grilles, connect everything to the ducts, mount them onto the trim, and tighten the securing screws.

Reconnect the connectors and reposition the trim on the dashboard.
