Removing the rear bumper is fairly simple to do, and if you can lift the vehicle on a lift and remove the rear wheels, it becomes even easier. First, remove the fasteners from the rear wheel wells to access the bumper mounting screws and detach it from the fender edge. Next, move to the screws along the lower edge. Then, open the trunk, remove the plastic cover at the inner corner, and unscrew the screws underneath. At this point, you can detach the bumper.
