How to Disable Start-Stop on the BMW 1 Series

To permanently disable the start-stop activation on this vehicle, you need an Ethernet cable including an OBD2 connector to connect to the car's diagnostic port and a laptop. After connecting, select the vehicle model, wait for the connection to the control unit and data acquisition, then select the "FEM BODY" control unit and click on "edit"; this will give you access to all the parameters of the control unit. Then, find the TCM MSA file, and change the setting to "activ". At this point, exit the program and save the settings; this way, the start-stop command will always be disabled, and you can activate it only with the manual command.
