Instructions for Replacing the Fuel Filter

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The fuel filter is located under the vehicle's floor, near the fuel tank. It is cylindrical with connections for the fuel inlet and outlet hoses. It is crucial to install it in the correct direction of fuel flow, indicated on the filter with an arrow. Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and locate the filter position; unscrew the mounting screws of the two support clamps and disconnect the hoses by loosening the respective clamps (the rear one is a clip). Then, attach the support clamps to the new filter and install it in reverse order, ensuring the hoses are connected correctly.
