Replacing Car Shock Absorbers

If your car has traveled more than 62,137 mi, you should replace the shock absorbers. They help absorb the vehicle's bumps. This guide shows you how to replace them without going to your trusted mechanic. Raise the left side of the car with a jack and then remove the wheel, making sure to take off all four bolts that hold it in place. At this point, open the hood by pulling the lever and remove all four screws located above the shock absorber. Next, remove the two screws on the half-shaft and also the one on the stabilizer that is parallel to the shock absorber. The shock absorber will then come out on its own.
