Front Shock Absorber Replacement Instructions

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

To replace the shock absorbers, first obtain the appropriate clamps to compress the spring attached to the shock. Remove the old shock absorber from the vehicle. Once the old shock is removed, apply the clamps to the spring and tighten them enough to compress the spring for removing the mount attached to the shock shaft. Then, insert the rubber bushing at the base of the spring seat, the dust boot, and the spring with the clamps onto the new shock absorber. Secure the upper mount and loosen the clamps to release the spring.
