How to remove the headlights of the BMW 5 Series E39 version

In this video we can see how to remove the front headlights of the BMW 5 Series E39 version: we start by opening the front hood and disconnecting the cables that connect the headlight to the car's electrical system; we remove the low beam bulb simply by pulling it out while still attached to its socket, and we remove the four screws that fix the front optical group to the body from the top of the hood. In the video we can see them very well in detail. It would be advisable to perform this operation by disconnecting the negative battery contact. When disassembling, we pay attention to the finishing plastic located under the front optical group, because it is only snap-fit and when the upper screws are unscrewed, it practically falls together with the headlight.
