Replacement of the BMW X1 E84 remote control battery

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015
Part: Key

To replace the battery of the BMW X1 remote control, let's equip ourselves with protective gloves and a cutter. We remove the metal blade and with the cutter we start to sink the blade a few millimeters along the edge to separate the two shells, once the perimeter is finished, we keep the side of the logo down and separate the two halves. We extract the board and with a soldering iron we unsolder the complete battery from its assembly. We take the new battery and solder everything onto the board, put it back in the shell with the buttons, check for correct operation, spread a layer of cyanoacrylic glue on the edge and join the two shells until the glue takes hold.

How to Remove the Gear Knob on an Opel Astra

How to replace the gear knob on an Opel Astra? Follow these steps: use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame (if you need to replace it). Grip the knob with both hands and pull it upwards (with a strong and decisive motion) until it comes off the gear stick. For installation: fit the new gaiter and position it on the centre tunnel, take the new knob and push it onto the stick, tightening it until fully threaded. Test the movement of the stick on the centre tunnel to ensure the knob is correctly fitted.
