How to replace the diesel filter on a Citroen C3 MK2

In this video we will see how to replace the diesel filter on a Citroen C3 HDi: we open the hood and remove the engine cover: we will be able to see the diesel filter, and we will start by disconnecting the electrical connector, then we disconnect the clips from the supply and return pipes, then we unscrew the two 8 mm screws that hold the filter in place and remove it from its housing. Now we need to use a basin, because we need to separate the filter from the cartridge: we unscrew the drain located under the filter, rotating the central connector to the right and lifting it. Now the diesel contained in the filter will pour into the basin. We unscrew the three screws located on the top of the cover, separating the cartridge from the cover. Clean the cover with a cloth and place it on the new cartridge, rotating it counterclockwise; then we put back the three fixing screws. Put the filter back in its housing, securing it with the 8 mm screws, then reconnect the pipes and finally the electrical connector. Put the engine cover back in place and the operation is complete.
