How to Remove the Centre Console from a Citroen Berlingo 1.9

Removing the centre console from a Citroen Berlingo 1.9 requires a few steps, but it is doable even for an amateur. Start by removing the radio. Unscrew the four screws (two on top and two below) that secure the radio cover panel, then unscrew the four screws of the ashtray (two below and two above). The upper ones are tricky: use a Torx 15 key. Next, unscrew the four screws that secure the centre panel in the handbrake area (two in the centre and two on the sides, hidden near the seats). Once removed, the panel separates into two pieces: one around the gear lever and one around the handbrake; extract both. Remove the remaining plastic around the gear lever and the cigarette lighter mechanism, disconnecting the cables. At this point, the console is free. The procedure requires patience, but it is not complicated. Reassemble everything in reverse order.
