How to Replace the Number Plate Bulb on a Citroen Xsara Picasso

The following video tutorial shows the steps to replace the number plate light on a Citroen Xsara Picasso vehicle. It is very important that the number plate is well illuminated; therefore, the replacement of the bulb should be immediate upon its failure. To replace it, you need a flathead screwdriver. Open the boot and using the flathead screwdriver, apply slight pressure outward to lever and remove the light unit. Disconnect the connector and extract the bulb. Insert the new bulb into the light unit and reconnect the connector. Place the light unit back into its position, pushing it in. Close the boot and turn on the vehicle lights to ensure the bulb works correctly; if not, check the fuse related to its operation.
