Replacing the fog lights on the C3 may seem straightforward but hides several pitfalls. First question: replace just the bulb or the entire unit? If the glass is broken or cracked, it is better to replace the complete unit, as water would enter, causing rust and condensation.

If the glass is intact, start with the bulb, but first, perform a quick diagnosis: compare both sides, check the fuse, and ensure the fog lights are actually activated. Be cautious about access: on the C3, it varies by year and trim, and the best method is from the wheel arch or underneath, without forcing the front grille.

You will need a torch, gloves, a screwdriver or Torx bits, and a plastic lever; turning the steering wheel to the opposite side helps create space. For the clips, unlock the central pin first.

Disconnect the connector by pressing the tab, never pull the wires, and check for rust. Do not touch the glass of the new bulb with your fingers.

Before closing, test the ignition and check for tightness and stability.
