Citroen C3 - Video tutorial

Model: Citroen C3 SC - Years 2009-2016
Part: Outside rearview mirror
Operation: How to remove the exterior mirrors of a Citroen C3

Before we can begin, we will need to open the door. We will therefore begin by removing the door panel, removing the side screws that secure it with a Torx T20. Once this is done, we will have to remove the cover of the internal handle, under which there will be other screws to be removed with a Torx T30. Once these screws have been removed, we will proceed with unhooking the hooks that secure the panel, using a thin but strong tool. After we have removed the panel, we will proceed with disconnecting the two plugs connected to the mirror. Once this is done, we will have to disengage the plastic cover placed in the corner near the mirror. By doing so we will have discovered three screws that secure it, which we will remove with a Torx T20. When we have removed all three screws, we can extract the mirror from its housing, paying attention to the pins. Once this step is complete, we will have successfully completed the disassembly.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
