Replacement of the Suspension Wishbone Ball Joint

Model: Citroen C5 DC, MK 1 - Years 2000-2008

The ball joint of the suspension wishbone is not integrated into the wishbone itself, as is the case in most instances, but has its own support which is fixed to the wishbone through pins: before proceeding with disassembly, spray some penetrating oil to overcome corrosion and avoid breaking the pins; then remove the fixing pins of the ball joint from the wishbone and proceed to extract the ball joint from the hub support: it may be necessary to use a puller or even cut it with a grinder; once the old ball joint is removed, clean the seat to remove any oxidation residue, lubricate with grease, and install the new one, securing it to the wishbone with the new supplied pins.
