How to Replace or Repair the Indicator Switch on a Dacia Duster MK1

The indicator switch on the Dacia Duster MK1 is prone to chronic failure. The repeated movement of the lever causes the internal wire soldering to break, particularly that of the horn (yellow and blue wires). The symptom is the horn stopping working while the other lights remain active. To replace it, unscrew the two screws that secure the indicator switch to the steering column. Disconnect the main electrical connector by pressing the release tab. The new part can be found on Amazon with the code B08JVF87HP at a price of £21.99, and it installs in a few minutes. If you prefer to repair the old one, it can be carefully opened to resolder the detached wires. Extend the wires and solder them to the correct points: the horn will start working again. Although not essential, having a spare ready prevents being without lights. The repair is feasible and cost-effective.
