Let's see how to change the oil and filter on a Dacia Duster 1.5 Dci MK1: Warm the engine oil slightly to make it more fluid, then safely lift the car, resting it on axle stands. On this type of engine, the oil filter is hidden, so you need to unscrew the sensor support from the air filter housing to access the filter. Place a container under the filter and unscrew it with the appropriate tool, then let the residual oil drain out. Now install the new filter, but after cleaning the seat and lubricating the filter seal with clean oil; then screw it in by hand without overtightening. Now we need to drain the old oil; take your container and place it under the sump. Remove the plug and let all the old oil drain out. Dispose of it at an authorised centre. Replace the plug and washer, and from the filler cap at the top of the engine, refill with new oil according to the manufacturer's specifications; check with the dipstick, then run the engine for a few minutes, turn it off and check the level again, topping up if necessary. Check for any leaks.
