This video discusses the bearing problem that has always affected the 1.5 Dci engine in Renault/Nissan/Dacia vehicles, which was more severe in cars produced until 2009 and suffers from premature bearing wear. It particularly concerns the K9K engine, which begins to experience this issue between 35,000 and 75,000 miles. The defective bearings can be either the main bearings of the crankshaft or the conrod bearings, and generally, those that wear abnormally are the ones in the third cylinder: the defect becomes apparent when removing the cylinder head, as aligning the pistons will reveal the difference in height of the heads.
