What Does the Orange Zig-Zag Light Mean on a Dacia Dashboard?

The orange zig-zag light that appears on the dashboard of Dacia and Renault vehicles is the indicator for the tyre pressure monitoring system. If the light stays on, it indicates that the pressure in at least one tyre is significantly low (usually more than 25% below the recommended value). If it flashes for 60 seconds and then stays on, it indicates a fault code: this means there is a fault with the TPMS itself. In the first case, simply check the tyre pressures and reset the system using the button usually located under the steering wheel, near the handbrake lever or in the centre console. Hold the button until the light flashes for a few seconds, then release it. The light will turn off. In the second case, diagnosis with a specialised OBD2 tool is required.
