How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on the Daihatsu Cast

If the key fob does not open the vehicle, you probably need to replace the battery. Follow these steps: First, remove the emergency key. Then, press the release lever on the short side of the key and remove the back cover. Use a small screwdriver to unscrew the 4 screws inside to access the battery compartment. Remove the old battery and replace it with a new one (model CR 2032), ensuring the positive side is facing up. Finally, reassemble by tightening the four screws, replacing the cover, and reinserting the emergency key.
