In order to disassemble the engine of the Derbi Variant 50, you need to loosen the screws that secure it to the frame supports, so that it can be removed after disconnecting pipes and connectors. At this point, you can loosen the screws that secure the cylinder to its seat in order to remove the piston from the connecting rod. The connecting rod can now be detached from the crankshaft, allowing access to further internal components which can be replaced if necessary. Then, you can insert the new components and reinstall the engine.
