How the Central Digital Rear-View Mirror Works on the DS N8

This mirror has two distinct modes of operation: "electrochromatic" (or automatic anti-glare) which is the basic function, standard on many cars. The mirror contains a light-sensitive gel, so when it detects the high beams of following vehicles, comparing it with the general ambient light, it automatically darkens to reduce glare and dazzle, without having to move the manual lever. The digital screen mode is the most innovative function. By pressing a button on the underside of the mirror, the reflective surface is deactivated and a high-resolution LCD screen is activated, and the mirror behaves like a monitor, showing in real-time what the rear-mounted camera sees, eliminating all obstacles created by passengers, providing better night vision and no glare.
